Venom Basketball Club (“we”, “our”, “the Club”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our members, players, volunteers, staff, and partners. The Club’s Board is responsible for decisions regarding the purposes and means of processing personal data.

  • Promoting the club through newsletters, social media, and our website (with consent)

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data based on:

  • Contract: To fulfil membership agreements
  • Legal obligation: To comply with Finnish laws and sports federation rules
  • Consent: For optional activities such as marketing, photography, and health data processing
  • Legitimate interest: For internal reporting, event organisation, and club development

5. Data Storage and Retention

  • Personal data is stored securely in password-protected systems and/or locked physical storage.
  • Data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes stated above or as required by law.
  • Membership data is deleted within 2 years after membership ends, unless legal obligations require longer retention.

  • Finnish Basketball Association and other relevant sports federations
